Descripci\u00f3n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Espa\u00f1ol:<\/strong> M97 resulta casi invisible sin el filtro para nebulosas de banda estrecha (narrowband). Con el filtro, es f\u00e1cil de apreciar su redondez; adem\u00e1s, resulta relativamente brillante. No obstante, la “cara de b\u00faho”, de la cual obtiene su nombre popular, no se distingue con el telescopio de 6 pulgadas (15.4 cm). Sin el filtro, a\u00fan cuando la nebulosa es casi imperceptible, s\u00ed se puede ver la estrella central, aunque bien tenue, adem\u00e1s de varias estrellas en los alrededores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

English:<\/strong> M97 is almost invisible without the narrowband nebular filter. With the filter, it\u2019s easy to distinguish its round shape; additionally, it is relatively bright. However, the \u201cowl face\u201d, from which it gets its popular name, is not distinguishable in the 6-inch (15.4 cm) telescope. Without the filter, even when the nebula is almost imperceptible, you can easily identify its faint central star, as well as several surrounding stars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comentarios de Messier en 1784:<\/strong> Nebulosa en la gran Osa, cerca de \u03b2: es dif\u00edcil de ver, reporta M. M\u00e9chain, sobre todo cuando se aclara los hilos del micr\u00f3metro: su luz es d\u00e9bil, sin estrella. M. M\u00e9chain la vio por primera vez el 16 de febrero de 1781, y su posici\u00f3n fue reportada despu\u00e9s de \u00e9l. Cerca de esta nebulosa hay otra, que no pudo ser de nuevo determinada, as\u00ed como una tercera que est\u00e1 junto a \u03b3 de la gran Osa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
