Descripci\u00f3n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Espa\u00f1ol:<\/strong> M44 fue el primer objeto del cat\u00e1logo de Charles Messier que dibuj\u00e9, luego de comprar el telescopio Meade MTS-SN 6 en enero de 1991. Se localiza al centro de la constelaci\u00f3n de C\u00e1ncer. La mayor\u00eda de las estrellas visibles son bien brillantes; las dem\u00e1s (much\u00edsimas), son demasiado d\u00e9biles en brillo, y por ello no fueron incluidas en el dibujo. Muchas de sus estrellas forman peque\u00f1os subgrupos de tres estrellas, lo que imparte m\u00e1s belleza al c\u00famulo. El color de las estrellas es blanco (o as\u00ed me parece). Para la \u00e9poca en que fue hecho el dibujo, el planeta J\u00fapiter se encontraba en las inmediaciones de M44, pero no era visible dentro del mismo campo de visi\u00f3n del ocular (que ni siquiera llega a cubrir toda la extensi\u00f3n de este c\u00famulo, que sobrepasa el grado y medio de di\u00e1metro).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

English:<\/strong> M44 was the first object of the Messier catalog I sketched, after buying the Meade MTS-SN 6 telescope in 6 January 1991. It is located at the center of the constellation of Cancer. Most of its stars are very bright; too many others are very faint and therefore were not included in the sketch. Many of its components form small groups of three stars, which imparts some extra beauty to the cluster. The color of the stars is white (or so it seems to me). The date I made this sketch, Jupiter was nearby, but not visible in the same field of view (which, by the way, does not cover the full extent of this cluster, which is more than 1.5\u00b0 in diameter).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cometarios de Messier en 1771:<\/strong> A simple vista, se ve en C\u00e1ncer una nebulosidad considerable: solo es un c\u00famulo de muchas estrellas que se distinguen muy bien con el socorro de anteojos, y estas estrellas no se confunden a simple vista que a causa de su gran proximidad.  La posici\u00f3n en ascensi\u00f3n recta de una de estas estrellas, de aquella que Flamsteed designa con la letra c<\/em>, reducida el 4 de marzo de 1769, fue de 126\u00b0 50′ 30″, para su ascensi\u00f3n recta, y 20\u00b0 31′ 38″ de declinaci\u00f3n boreal. Esta posici\u00f3n fue deducida de aquella que ha dado Flamsteed en su cat\u00e1logo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
