Descripci\u00f3n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Espa\u00f1ol:<\/strong> M6 es otro c\u00famulo abierto en la constelaci\u00f3n del Escorpi\u00f3n, varios grados al noroeste de M7. Es visible a simple vista y f\u00e1cilmente con binoculares. Con el telescopio, a 30x, se observa completo dentro del mismo campo de visi\u00f3n, no as\u00ed a 127x, con el que solo se puede ver por partes. El dibujo fue hecho a 127x, pero el \u00e1rea que cubre el c\u00edrculo es mayor a los 21′ que ofrece el campo de visi\u00f3n del ocular de 6 mm. De primera impresi\u00f3n, no es tan f\u00e1cil detectar la forma de la mariposa, pero una vez se trasan las alas (lo que m\u00e1s se distingue), la figura jam\u00e1s se pierde de vista. El color de sus estrellas va del blanco (la mayor\u00eda) al blanco-amarilloso. Dentro de este c\u00famulo se localiza BM Scorpii, una estrella anaranjada (se\u00f1alada con un par de rayas dento del dibujo) de sexta magnitud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

English: <\/strong>M6 is another open cluster in Scorpius, several degrees northeast of M7. Is is visible to the naked eye, and it’s quite beautiful in binoculars. With the telescope at 30x, I can see it all in the field of view; not so at 127x, when only parts are visible at a time. Though, the sketch was made at 127, but the total area is larger than the 21′ true field of view the 6mm orthoscopic eyepiece offers. At first glance, it’s not so easy to see the figure of the butterfly, but once you trace the wings (easily distinguishable), you won’t lose track of it. The stars’ colors go from white (most of them) to yellow-white. The sixth magnitud orange star BM Scorpii (identified in the sketch by a pair of lines) lies in this cluster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comentario de Messier en 1771:<\/strong> La misma noche del 23 al 24 de mayo, determin\u00e9 la posici\u00f3n de un c\u00famulo de peque\u00f1as estrellas entre el arco del Sagitario y la cola del Escorpi\u00f3n: A simple vista, este c\u00famulo parece formar una nebulosidad sin estrellas, pero el menor instrumento que se emplea para examinarla muestra que solo es un c\u00famulo de peque\u00f1as estrellas, cuyo di\u00e1metro puede tener 15 minutos de grado: determin\u00e9 su posici\u00f3n a su paso por el Meridiano, casi exactamente: su ascensi\u00f3n recta fue de 261\u00b0 10′ 39″, y su declinaci\u00f3n de 32\u00b0 10′ 34″ meridional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
